In The People’s Fund, we believe that the broadest shoulders should carry the greatest burden, and some should not have to carry any at all. Therefore, we use progressive membership fees based on where you live, so a Canadian or a Norwegian for instance pays €15 per year while a Zambian or a Nepali does not have to pay at all – but they are all full members of our organization.
Our administrative costs are less than 10%, so more than 90% of the money you contribute will go to our work including microfinance investments in small- and medium-sized businesses in developing countries, donations to local health and development projects, and advocacy, awareness and fundraising work to help further our cause and build the fund.
To get started, please select your country:
You can choose to contribute monthly or annually. Every time you make a transaction, a small amount goes to PayPal (1.4% + €0.35 per transaction). Hence, if you pay annually, a higher share goes to support our work. Please select one of the below options:
- less money spent on transaction fees, so more money can go to our work
- more money spent on transaction fees, but you have to contribute less up front
Note: If your country is in our low-income category you will have the option of free membership by clicking any of the above options.
